Tawara Asian Pear
Asian pear with unusual light brown fruit that tastes like a cross between an apple and a pear, with a crispy texture. Excellent for fresh eating or canning. Ripen in late August to early September.
Partially self-fruitful but better crops are set when pollinated by another Asian or European pear, such as Seckel, Bosc or Bartlett.
