Rock Yard Associate

Rock Yard Associates are responsible for using skid steers, forklifts, and loaders to move bulk stone, boulders, flagstone, palletized products, and other materials around the nursery grounds, and load materials into delivery trucks and customer vehicles. You will also assist with managing a large irrigation system, grounds maintenance, and providing customer service. This is a dynamic role with opportunities to learn about horticulture, stone, and irrigation. This is a full-time or part-time seasonal position from March - October.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing customer service, making sales, and loading materials into customer vehicles

• Operating equipment for moving bulk stone, rock, pallets, and bulk material

• Grounds maintenance

• Assisting with equipment maintenance and repair, including completing Maintenance Logs

• Conducting snow removal and yard maintenance projects in the winter as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with operating heavy equipment preferred

• Experience with equipment maintenance preferred

• Customer service experience preferred

• Experience in horticulture or landscaping a plus

• Experience with irrigation systems a plus

• Strong attention to detail and safety

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• $18.50/hr to start

• HRA - After 90 days
