$3.95 for 0.25lb | $10.95 for 1lb

White Dutch has a relatively shallow (2′ maximum) root system but it can form a dense mat proving useful for erosion control. It requires moist soils to thrive, but in the presence of good moisture it can overtake all other grasses and plants. Being stoliniferous, White dutch will spread easily which is great for a monostand, but can stifle out other grasses in a mix if it gets too much water. White Dutch clover is typically used for clover turfs, in vineyards and orchards and as ground cover. Seeding rate: 2 lbs/acre or 0.05 lb/1000ft². Zone: 4-6. Min Precipitation: 35”

In general cover crops can help with erosion, smother weeds or at least keep them in control, enhance nutrient and moisture availability, keep the soil cool, control pests and enhance the general soil profile. Heidi's Highland Wildflower Mix
$19.95 for 0.25lb | $79.95 for 1lb
Heidi’s Highland mix was created for our Mountainous regions in the Southwest Four Corners region. It is a blend of annuals and perennial wildflowers. The annuals are added to the mix to bloom the year that you plant while the perennials will start to bloom when they reach maturity the second year. If you allow flowers to go to seed and Then scratch the seeds into the soil beneath the plants in the fall, there is a good likelihood you will continue to propagate the annuals in subsequent years. Created for elevations in the 7,000 – 10,000′ elevation range, these plants are winter hardy. These are relatively drought tolerant plants but there is an assumption that the higher elevations get more summer moisture than the lower altitudes. If you don’t get summer moisture then supplemental moisture may be critical for establishment and good blooms. The seeding rate is 0.25 lbs/1000 ft² Zone: 3-5 Min. Precipitation: 15”-20"

Microclover adds nitrogen to the soil which benefits all the other grasses in the lawn. Microclover (Trifolium repens L.) is a selection from white clover that has smaller leaves and lower growth habits. When seeded at an appropriate rate, it mixes better with most turfgrass species than common white clover, without forming clumps and without excessively competing with desirable turfgrasses. Typical seeding rates are between 3% and 5% of the total seed application. It grows to only 2”. Seeding rate is 3%-5% of turf grass mix, or 2-3 lbs/acre if seeding alone. Zone: 5. Black Eyed Susan Wildflower
$14.95 for 0.25lb

It’s bright yellow petals that fall from a dark center makes it a striking plant. In Colorado, it is found at elevations between 5,000 and 9,500 feet. Because it is a biannual, it usually develops as a rosette the first year and flowers the second year, although some plants may flower their first year. Black-eyed Susan is extremely drought tolerant but supplemental water during dry periods will improve stand density and extend the flowering period. Birds, bees, and butterflies are attracted to its 2- to 3-inch-wide flowers, and birds like its seeds. It is not attractive to deer, so it is a wildflower that can do particularly well in areas with large deer populations. Seed is best sown in the late fall after frost and should be covered with 1/4 to 1/2 inch of soil. Zone:3-9 Min. Precipitation: 14" Highly Drought Tolerant

Blanketflower may be grown from seed preferably planted in the Spring; it does not require cold stratification to break dormancy. The seeds should be planted 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep.
