Best of all sour cherries! Bright red fruit with fine tart flavor; however, fruit will sweeten when fully ripe. The best pie cherry, also excellent for freezing and canning. Originates from the Montmorency Valley, France circa 1600s, introduced to the U.S. in the 1800s. Ripens in June.
