In Southwest Colorado, soils derived from the Mancos Shale are commonly high in sodium salts. The species in this mix have higher salt tolerance. The water requirements are minimal but the grasses can withstand short periods of flooding.
The seeding rate is 15 lbs/acre drilled. 20 lbs/acre broadcast.
